Wow... another entry.. this has to be a record for me.. lol.. I actually have something important to write about!

So I was just watching the news, and I have to say, yet again, I'm disgusted. There are innocent Sudanese people (from Sudan) who are being slaughtered by Islamic extremists, just because the black muslims, and most that live in Sudan are muslims, don't conform to all of the Islamic rules. Most of the Islamic rules that aren't followed are viewed as extreme and these innocent people are just being brutally killed. Watching videos of starving children who are being covered from head to toe with flies, who are emaciated.. it hurts my heart to watch it. The U.N. is supposed to be stopping these things from hapening, while promoting peace, but so far Kofie Annan (sorry if I butchered his name) has not said a WORD. The same thing happened in Rawanda, where people were slaughtered and no one helped until it was too late. Seeing little toddlers who were starving to death made me cry at first... how can this happen in a world that wants peace so badly? How can it happen when people in this country say that they want to help other less fortunate people? This needs to stop... After I cried, i got mad. Mad at the fact that the future of our world relies on people taking action to prevent this type of behavior. I wish I went to church, so I could sign up for missionary programs, or I wish I was a nurse that could work with other nurses in third world countries to erradicate hunger and disease. Diseases that are killing people out there are the diseases that we have vaccinations and preventative measures for!!!! I guess my message is for everyone to stay informed and hopefully, Annan will do something to stop this soon, or who knows what else will happen.
